Neha Hafeez recently received the American Heart Association (AHA) Student Scholarship in Cardiovascular Disease for her project titled “Quaking Induces Endothelial Dysfunction via Yes-Associated Protein 1 to Promote Pulmonary Hypertension.” She will be conducting her research year in the lab of Dr. Stephen Chan, MD, PhD in the University of Pittsburgh Vascular Medicine Institute.
Before joining the PSTP, Neha received her Bachelor’s Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan. In her free time, Neha enjoys cooking, baking, hiking, spending time with friends and family, and helping make the PSTP the best possible community it can be!
