Students currently enrolled in the PSTP have an average undergraduate GPA of 3.82. As of the 2021 medical school application cycle, the PSTP does not consider MCAT scores as part of its admissions evaluations.

Information Session

The PSTP offers many info sessions where applicants can ask questions and learn more about the program from both students and staff. All applicants interviewing at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine will be invited to attend one of the approximately 50 info sessions held specifically for current-cycle applicants. These sessions take place between the last week of August and third week of December most Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 3:30PM ET. Scheduling instructions will be sent to applicants at the time they schedule their UPSOM interview.
