Meena Sethuraman Presents Work at Inherited Metabolic Disorders Conference

Meena Sethuraman, a current PSTP research year student, received a competitive travel award to present a podium talk at the Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders 44th Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her talk was titled “Characterizing pathogenicity of exon and intron variants in very long-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency.” Meena discussed how she used in vitro techniques to assess uncertain variants and identify unique splice variants in patients with VLCAD deficiency.

Meena has been conducting her research year in the lab of Dr. Jerry Vockley, MD, PhD at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
