Research Title/Research Topic: Delivery of mir29b using Ultrasound Targeted Microbubble Destruction to Alleviate Cardiac Fibrosis
Current Research Description: We are developing a novel delivery platform utilizing nucleic acid loaded microbubbles and targeted ultrasound to deliver a mir-29b mimic to a rodent model of hypertension. Delivery of the micro-RNA therapeutic in such a fashion is expected to provide efficient and localized delivery while reduce myocardial fibrosis and improving cardiac function.
