Renata DiDonato (MS3) presented her research at the IAS–USA Bacteriophage Conference this October in Washington DC.
Her poster, titled “Phenotypic Diversity and Phage Susceptibility of Pseudomonas aeruginosa From Patients With Otitis,” highlights her ongoing work examining how bacterial diversity influences susceptibility to bacteriophage therapy. Renata conducts her research under the mentorship of Daria Van Tyne, PhD and Glen Rapsinski, MD, PhD.
The conference brought together researchers and clinicians focused on advancing phage biology and therapeutic applications, particularly in the context of antibiotic-resistant infections. Her work contributes to growing efforts to explore phage-based strategies for difficult-to-treat bacterial diseases.
